How can we as County Council employees help to improve public health? One way is to turn our policies and action plans into reality. At bottom, many of these steering documents are about helping to create good living conditions, health and wellbeing for the people who live in the county and for our staff. We would like to clarify this using examples from the wide range of activities carried out by the County Council.
First we will summarise the County Council’s public health policy and its five objectives. Then we will present ten of the County Council’s other policies and action plans which also affect the health of the population, giving concrete examples for each.
